If you landed here simply looking to purchase kratom, then go right here.
Kratom (Mitragyna Speciosa) is a plant grown in the Southeast Asian countries of: Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Borneo.
In the United States, it IS legal (with the exception of Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Tennessee). The FDA is currently (April 2017) trying to pass legislation to make Kratom illegal in all US states. Due to enormous backlash and upheaval from people all over the country, the legislation was postponed and is currently awaiting another review.
I’m confident the ban will not get passed. So confident in fact, I spent several days writing this article so I could fill you guys in on what this stuff is.
What is Kratom? What’s all the hype about? I’m going to answer those questions for you. This article will not be going to go into detail however on the proposed ban, you can do your own research on that if you wish.
What I will go into detail on is how you can truly benefit from this wonderful compound and enhance your life.
The word ”drug” has a negative connotation to it, so I’m hesitant to use that word when describing kratom. Thing is, not all drugs are bad. Some drugs are good, great even, and can enhance your life. Kratom is one of them.
What’s In This For You? Why Bother With Kratom?
Kratom is wonderful at relieving the stresses of everyday life. I find it to be particularly helpful when I’m having an abnormally stressful, or busy day. Maybe I have several high pressure tasks I need to get done one day. Maybe I didn’t think the day would be stressful and then all the sudden I notice it’s getting crazy or I’m starting to get worked up.
I usually have kratom in the drawer a few feet away in my office. I’ll just bust out my scale, weigh out/measure 4-5 grams of kratom, stir it into ice-cold water, throw in a few stevia sweeteners, and down the hatch, it goes. 15-20 minutes later I feel like I can handle anything. I’m not stressed out anymore. I feel like no matter what crazy shit is going on at work, I can handle it.
It’s not that I couldn’t handle it anyway, but why not make life a little easier on yourself? I don’t want my brain to release cortisol when it doesn’t have to. Kratom is a great great help to have around and will relieve you of stress.
That’s a very specific example of how kratom helps me. Some other ways it will help:
1) If your energy/willpower is starting to wane towards the end of the day, but you still need to get things done, kratom oftentimes will re-ignite some of that drained motivation. You have the focus and willpower to finish what needs to get done, when you otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do it.
That may not seem like a big deal right there, but if you really think about it, imagine how much more you could get done over 1-2 month period. Those little weekly tasks that need to get done, aren’t getting put off constantly.
”Oh yeah, I’ve been meaning to get to that”.
How many times over a 2-month period do you think that to yourself? If you’re a busy person with a lot going on, it’s probably more than you realize. Kratom is great at eliminating stress and reigniting some energy.
Not energy in the sense of a stimulant either. It’s not like drinking a cup of coffee. It’s a different, calming type of energy.
It’s hard to put into words, just something you have to experience for yourself.
2) It makes you happy and talkative. I find that while I’m on Kratom, I’m usually in a pretty happy mood. It’s also easier for me to open up and randomly start talking to someone.
I’m naturally more of an introverted person. I don’t particularly like to start up random conversations when I’m going about my day with people I don’t know. I normally don’t like to ”shoot the shit” with people.
I don’t want to talk about what happened during the game last night, and I don’t want to discuss the weather. I’m a very busy person and I normally find these encounters annoying (like the speedbumps of my day). I’m not rude to people, and I’m not an asshole, this is just my default feelings towards general chit-chat.
Kratom changes this for me. On kratom, these same social encounters become not only tolerable for me but they’re almost welcomed. In other words: I’m no longer the ”uptight, white business guy” who has no time for anyone.
All of a sudden I’m approachable again.
It feels easier and more natural to talk with other people while on this stuff.
FAST, MODERATE, AND SLOW KRATOM:
There are 3 strands of kratom: Fast, moderate, and slow.
Fast: A more energetic feeling. Goes well with a gym workout. This is because kratom has painkilling properties. Although it is NOT an opiate, it does impact your brain’s opiod receptors (there’s a huge difference). That said, in the gym it can help you hit a few more reps on your lifts. I find this to be especially true when taking the ”Maeng Da Elite” strand.
Fast kratom is also good to take on a Friday or Saturday night out on the town. Fast kratom will make you more pro-social and happy-feeling. Also good for motivation, although it’s more of a physical motivation than mental.
Moderate: A very relaxing, chill type of feeling. Not necessarily an energetic one. I find moderate kratom to help me more with focus and concentration. Long tedious work spent on a computer, reading or writing, is what moderate kratom is perfect for.
Slow: Even more of a relaxed, chill vibe than moderate strands. Slow Kratom actually rotates back and forth for me (with fast kratom) as being my favorite. When slow kratom is dosed just right, sometimes it can feel just incredible.
It makes you feel ”So Money Baby” as Vince Vaughn from the movie Swingers would say. It’s great for a Sunday afternoon, watching movies, or any type of spectating activity.
Note: kratom is a mild feeling, not an overwhelming intense one. Of course, this is if it’s dosed correctly. You’re not going ”get high” off kratom, and that’s not the point anyway. This is not a recreational drug, it’s a performance-enhancing one.
You could also use it strictly for anxiety (this is not medical advice).
KRATOM DOSING:
For 8 out of 10 people, 4-4.5 grams is the sweet spot, but usually closer to 4. The only way to be sure of this is to buy a digital scale (get the scale calibrated). Use a spoon and weigh out 2 grams, dump it in an empty glass, then weigh out 2 more grams. You can mix it with water, juice or tea.
If you’re going mix it with water I would add 3-4 packs of Stevia.
The first time you drink kratom, it’s going to taste like absolute shit. You may even gag or want to throw up. That’s why I say add stevia. The stevia makes it taste bearable. It’s not the best-tasting stuff, but I really feel it’s worth it. The come-up is only about 15-20 minutes, assuming you have good quality kratom.
(By the way: There are only 2 places I would ever buy kratom from, the main one is Coastline Kratom, and the other is HappyHippoHerbals.com. You’ll never have to worry about buying bunk product from them, they take the quality of their K very seriously).
Once it hits you, the half-life is about 4 hours.
Unlike phenibut, which I usually feel well past its 5-hour half-life, kratom I actually notice when it wears off. There is no comedown or crash off of it (it’s not a stimulant anyway). I just know it’s worn off when I start feeling a bit more anxious again.
To be honest, kratom could probably serve as an alternative to Klonopin or Xanax, which are anxiety prescription drugs (again, this is NOT medical advice). At one point in my life I was actually prescribed to Klonopin for mild anxiety, but I’d never need that stuff again now that I know about kratom.
The Kratom Lifestyle:
The guys over at GoodLookingLoser.com, talk about ”the kratom lifestyle”. They can speak to and describe it that better than me, but I’ll briefly touch on it here. The kratom lifestyle is basically where you take kratom 7 days a week and rotate different strands each day of the week.
The idea behind rotating strands is that it keeps your receptors fresh so you don’t build up a tolerance.
Here’s an example (using Happy Hippo Herbals product/names):
Monday: Maeng Da Red (Red Hot Hippo) (Fast)
Tuesday: Sumatra White (Sky Hippo) (Moderate)
Wednesday: Sumatra Green (Pleasant Green Hippo) (Moderate)
Thursday: Indo Super Yellow (Snuggie Hippo) (Slow)
Friday: Indo Super Red (Happy Hippo #2) (Moderate)
Saturday: Maeng Da Elite (Hyper Hippo) (Fast)
Sunday: Sumatra Yellow (Sleepy Hippo) (Slow)
There are more strands than this, I just used these 7 as examples. Chris (founder of Good Looking Loser), says he’s been living the kratom lifestyle for 7 years or so and gives almost full credit to what he’s built his multiple businesses up to, to kratom lifestyle.
He says kratom allowed him the motivation to work the necessary 15-16 hour days that it took to get his businesses where they are (all of which have been very successful).
The kratom lifestyle can get expensive so be careful and make sure it’s something you can afford every month before you jump right into taking these every day. An order of 6 different stands will run you about $92 after shipping.
THE 2 BEST SIDE EFFECTS OF KRATOM:
1) It allows you to work very long hours. As I mentioned earlier in the post, kratom can make you work past the point you would usually be able to otherwise.
If you know you have a long, tedious day ahead of you, then kratom is the perfect thing to take. There are people that take it for no other reason than just that: working very long days.
I even think kratom is better for this than modafinil is because you don’t get stressed out or bent out of shape about stuff while you’re on it. It keeps your emotions on an even-keel which also helps you avoid getting mentally worn out.
2) It just makes the day better, and easier to get through. As simple as that sounds, a little of that goes a very long way.
When you own business, and your mind is constantly racing in a hundred directions, it’s amazing what a help having something like this around can be for you.
Being anxious, stressed out or worried about shit all the time is just no way to live. Kratom not only eliminates those negative emotions, it can actually make hectic day enjoyable.
NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS:
1) Constipation. I’ve noticed that when I take Kratom more than twice in a given day, I get constipated. I’ve heard this to be the case with other people as well. For this reason I don’t recommend taking kratom more than twice a day.
This will likely only be a problem for you if you’re living the kratom lifestyle I described above.
I read in a couple places that if you buy ”Fiber” it would help with the constipation….yeah not so much. Just be careful, I’ve gotten so constipated from this stuff that I thought I was actually going to DIE right there on the commode…
Limit your intake of this stuff to no more than 2 times a day, at least until you’ve built up a tolerance to it and your body can handle it.
2) It can make you a bit spacy. You can feel zonked out on kratom sometimes. This usually only happens when you take too much of it. Only a little over the recommended dose can cause this however.
Also remember: if you take too high a dose of a fast kratom it can make you sleepy (I never take more than 4 grams of a fast kratom, especially Maeng Da Elite).
3) Slightly lowered immune system the day after taking it. This is more so the case if you take kratom every day. You’ll feel almost feverish and will often get goosebumps until you have that first dose of the day.
You’ll also notice this to a much milder degree early on when you first start taking kratom (before your body is used to it). If you’re real sensitive however, you may always feel like this the morning after taking kratom, it will vary slightly from person to person.
To be honest, that’s pretty much it, the negative side effects of kratom are few.
IS KRATOM ADDICTIVE?
Kratom is no more addictive than anything else you could consume regularly. In my opinion, it’s no more addictive than coca-cola, and coca-cola is worse for you.
It’s definitely not a substance that’s addictive in the same way that cocaine or hardcore drugs are. That’s because kratom is not a hardcore, self-destructive drug. It’s the opposite actually: a mild performance enhancing drug.
Yes believe it or not these actually exist, and Kratom is one of them.
Also, unlike phenibut, kratom affects the opioid receptors in your brain (phenibut affects your GABA receptors). That means it’s something you can take every day and it won’t make you suicidal or depressed when you come off it months later (like phenibut could IF taken every day for months on end).
CONCLUSION:
Just another resource for you guys. If what I’ve described here sounds like it would benefit you, then give kratom a shot. It’s worked for me and many other people, but you’ll never know how something works for you until you try it for yourself.
If you are going to give kratom a try, follow the suggestions I’ve outlined here and dose it correctly (4-4.5 grams).
I think it’s very fairly priced if you buy it from Coastline Kratom. Of course, Happy Hippo is also very good as well. Don’t do anything illegal and check the laws in your country regarding the legality of kratom.
Another A-Plus performance enhancer for high-performing/busy people.
Until next time,
