Primobolan Disclaimer: I am not a Doctor. This article IS NOT to be taken as medical advice. I am not advocating for you to use anything discussed here. Whatever you do with this information is completely up to you. This is for entertainment purposes only.
In this article, I’ll detail what my experiences were on the Primobolan cycle I recently completed.
I was on a moderate level of Test (250-300 mg. a week) during this cycle as well, by the way.
This was actually my 2nd time doing a cycle of Primobolan, the 1st one I started 10 months prior to this (in early 2019). I was so impressed by the results I obtained from that 1st cycle, that I couldn’t wait to do a 2nd cycle of it.
I’d been chomping at the bit basically, to do another one.
I won’t go into detail here, on the Testosterone half of this cycle, my experiences with Test can be found in 2 previous articles I wrote. Those articles can be found right here, and right here.
In THIS article, I will outline what my experience was with during my primobolan cycle (methenolone enanthate), and will answer questions many people have about it. By the end of the article, I will have hopefully given you an overall better understanding of what primobolan is.
I want to make sure before we go any further with this, that I point out this article is not me ”condoning” that you use Mentholone Enanthate, or do anything I say that I did here. I’m simply detailing what I went through, and what learned about Primobolan along the way (for those who are interested).
One essential book to get for this (especially if you’re new to using gear):
The main book which helped me before going through this cycle was John Doe Bodybuilding’s book ”Straight From The Underground”.
That link right there will take you right to the book.
This book has literally helped hundreds of other men who wanted to know the safest ways to prepare for their cycles.
After reading this book, I felt 10X more confident in my ability to embark on cycles (like this one) safely, accurately, and correctly. Without this book, I’m not sure how long it would have taken to feel comfortable going onto gear (or to do more than just testosterone, which by itself is limiting)
Without reading this book, it would have taken me at least a couple of years longer (if ever), to get started.
It only took me a week or two to read the book. A very fun, easy, and informative read. You really need to know what you’re doing before you decide to make the decision to go on gear (or stay on it)
Here were my personal Primobolan results:
BEFORE:
AFTER:
DOSAGE:
My Primobolan cycle lasted about 14 weeks. I dosed twice a week into my glutes, rotating each side with each dose. With each dose, I took 350 mg. (so 700 mg. total per week).
IF you’re wanting to keep your cycle on the lower end, you could even go as low as 200-300 mg., and will (most likely) still see some results. Although again: my cycle was higher than this (700 mg. a week).
Another lower dose cycle (but slightly higher than the above example), could be one where you’re dosing at 500-600mgs. a week.
IF you decide to go the lower dosage route, then a 12-14 week cycle (at least) at 500-600 mg. a week, will be what you’ll need to do to get the most out of the cycle.
Here was what my gym workout schedule looked like:
Monday: Chest and triceps. Instead of bench press, I did Vince Gironda’s old Wide Grip Press to the Neck” routine.
Tuesday: Back.
Wednesday: Shoulders (Arnold Press, dumbell lateral raises, standing dumbell front raises, and I even threw in a posture assisting lift).
Thursday: Legs and calves. Squats were the main part of my leg workout. Occasionally I would replace my squat workout with deadlifts.
Friday: Fasted Cardio: usually either Running (25-30 minutes), swimming laps (implementing fasted HIIT, or cycling (spinning). For cycling, I tried to use a Peloton bike whenever possible, due to the fact the digital gauge on the screen lets you know if you’re turning the dial far enough over to get the proper amount of resistance. In a normal spin class, you never know whether you’re giving yourself enough resistance, or not enough.
Saturday: Fasted Cardio (same thing as Friday, but a different exercise for variety).
Sunday: Off.
Here was what my diet looked like:
I stuck with my intermittent fasting, which I’ve been doing now for the last 3 years.
For this cycle, I would have my 1st meal at 1:15 pm, and my 2nd (final) meal of the day at 6:00 pm.
Looking back on this, I should have made my IF window shorter. Eating my 2nd meal at 5:15-5:30 pm and finishing by 6:00 pm would have probably yielded slightly better results.
Despite this, IF was something I tried to be stricter about during this cycle.
I definitely was more disciplined about not falling off this in other words, while I was going through this 2nd cycle. My meals would consist of about 80% protein (oftentimes even more), and as a side, I would have dairy (cheese), or potatoes with butter.
I did not eat many vegetables on this cycle and had very little fruit (sometimes I had a banana or two with lunch). For my protein: I would often eat steak, lean ground beef, turkey, pork chops, chicken, or fish (mostly wild-caught salmon or Cod).
I would use hot sauce for flavor. I avoided things with too much sugar like mustard or ketchup. Hot sauce, salt, and pepper were all I would flavor my meats with.
For potatoes, I was fond of sweet potatoes, or just standard white potatoes. If I ate cheese I would eat those instead of potatoes, I would not have both of them in the same meal.
Since at the time of this cycle, I was still running my old business and driving to and from appointments all the time, there were many days when I would have a couple of protein bars as part of my lunch (usually along with 2-4 hard-boiled eggs). These protein bars had to be under 3G of sugar, or I wouldn’t eat them.
This was one protein bar I would eat.
These are all very low-sugar-content protein bars. They aren’t like most protein bars, which are basically just glorified candy bars.
I tracked all the calories I ate every day, by writing them down or logging them on my phone.
This helped me keep an eye on how many calories I was eating, and got me to a point where I started to instinctively know how much to eat, and how much not to (when to stop). This took some getting used to, and it’s harder to do than it sounds.
That’s mostly just because I already track a lot of other things in my day-to-day life, so this was just adding one more thing on top of the others. I tried to stay under 2200 calories a day.
From Saturday evening, through to the end of Sunday lunch, I would allow myself a 24-hour cheat window.
I know this diet was not perfect, I never claimed that it was. I’m simply telling you what I ate, to achieve the look I achieved.
With each cycle I do, my self-discipline naturally gets stronger and better. Yours should too.
I was more disciplined on this cycle for example than I was on my 1st one (and the 2nd). Ideally, you want to be embarking on these cycles (IF you decide to ever do one), once you’re at a point in your life where you’ve achieved a good level of self-control and discipline.
This will also help prevent you from doing careless things on the cycle, like drinking for example.
Most men do not achieve this level of self-control and discipline until they are in their early 30s (or occasionally late 20s).
Now let’s get into the meat of the matter:
Primobolan (methenolone enanthate):
Some guys will complain that Primobolan is a weak steroid. I’m here to tell you this is not true.
If you’re comparing it to mass-building steroids, then yes it will appear weaker (by comparison). However, this is a ridiculous comparison, to begin with, because that’s not the type of steroid Primo is.
I personally don’t need to be the biggest guy in the gym. My wealth-building and money-making priorities will always take preference over that desire. So yes, compared to DBOl, Trenbolone, or Anadrol then of course (on paper) it will look weaker.
Primobolan IS stronger than Masteron however (when it comes to gear that is used for cutting cycles).
Primobolan is even stronger than TEST, in the respect that it does a better job of binding to your androgen receptors. It’s a great aid for fat loss (which is not to be confused with general ”weight loss” by the way).
Remember: the strongest gear doesn’t always mean it’s the best gear. There’s a reason Primobolan is as expensive as it is (because you get what you pay for).
Some more facts:
–Primobolan does not aromatize. So no Aromatase inhibitor is needed. So no gynecomastia issues will result, it is very very dry. Most guys dislike the water-retention side effect of many steroids (Testosterone for example), so it’s nice that Primo does not cause this.
–Primo does increase nitrogen retention in your muscles. It helps you retain muscle mass while you’re cutting, which is huge. So your muscles stay anabolic (as opposed to becoming catabolic).
If you’re eating 20-30-40% below your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), you will still be able to maintain your current muscle, while at the same time adding even new muscle!
Just understand that Primo is not a mass monster-building steroid, rather it’s a cutting one (although it can and often is added to a bulking cycle to keep guys lean and mean).
–There are two forms of Primo: orals, and injectable oil kind. I’ve only ever used the injection version of it.
–You SHOULD use PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) with Primo, despite what many people will say.
Primobolan is a DHT derivative, so hair loss is possible, but mostly only if you’re already pre-disposed to MPB (male pattern baldness).
Other things to know about Primobolan:
–It has a low anabolic and androgenic ratio.
–Primobolan has a direct fat loss effect (you’ll start to notice this at about the 3rd or 4th week).
–It also does a great job of holding muscle mass MUCH better while in a caloric deficit. The nutrient-partitioning effects of Primo (or how well your body maintains a state of anabolism), is one of the defining qualities of this compound.
–This was rumored to be one of Arnold’s favorite steroids. You will achieve a much more ”refined”, dense, and 3-Dimensional look while on it (like he did).
You’ll have a MUCH better definition actually, and I was able to achieve this ”3-Dimensional look” (which oftentimes is even the reason why guys decide to go on a cycle in the 1st place).
–I kept my improved look for about 3 months after the end of the cycle too.
–The safety profile of it is very good.
For example, a female could take 100 mg. a week, and even up to as much as 1,000 mg. a week, and would most likely be fine. This substance is very well tolerated in women. See this study right here.
This is an extremely interesting study by the way. The women in this study here were given 1,200 mgs. a week, and the study went on for 16 weeks! Primo is one of the most science-backed, clinically safe compounds in existence (when it comes to gear).
I say this in the terms of human studies and safety data, even in extreme applications, such as that example.
Overall, it’s one of the most well-tolerated, and efficacious steroids there is.
This doesn’t mean Primo is good for you, please don’t get my words twisted here, it simply means that: compared to other steroids, primo is probably the least harmful one there is.
Unlike other forms of gear that were designed for use on a horse or a cow, for example.
Primobolan tablets are even being studied in clinical labs and considered for their anti-inflammatory effects (since primo has a high level of selectivity and low level of toxicity).
An example of how Primobolan could be dosed:
700 mgs. a week of primo (would be the baseline). Then, as an ”add on”, a lot of guys will add on things like Anavar, Deca (nandrolone decanoate), or Winstrol for example. With the former two being more complementary to primo specifically.
One ”old school” routine bodybuilders often did was: 1000 mgs. a week HCG, and then 1,000 mgs. a week of primo (and these guys got a great look from this).
If you have achieved the bulk of your size (after about 5 years of lifting), then again: Primobolan will give you that much more ”refined” look.
Positive side effects (not already mentioned):
Well for one: I looked and felt absolutely amazing. I felt very powerful while on this stuff. I remember feeling this same way on the 1st cycle I did of primo too.
–You will get a small endurance boost (one of the often overlooked and ”forgotten” benefits of primo).
–You’ll likely feel good most of the time while on cycle, unlike other forms of gear (like Trenbolone for example), at least I did.
–You will have that very refined, polished look (like Arnold Schwartzenegger did), and will look much denser.
–Increased vascularity which lasted for months after I got off the cycle.
–Highly elevated metabolism:
I could get away with eating a lot more food that was ”bad for me” on my 2 Primobolan cycle. This wasn’t as obvious to me on this 2nd cycle, as it was on my 1st one. On my 2nd cycle (the one I’m outlining here), I was much more strict about my diet, however. There were still some moments though, where I caved and ate things I wasn’t supposed to (hey, it happens).
The Primobolan helped make these slips almost unnoticeable. The only thing I will say about this, however, is that even though you may look like you’re at 8%-10% body fat, you still actually won’t be if you have more than a few of these unplanned slip-ups with your diet.
Furthermore, you’ll probably be able to tell (visually) that you’re not actually at that 8-10% body-fat range, more than other people will. This is because most people are harder and more critical of themselves than other people are of them.
–It doesn’t throw your blood levels off (like your cholesterol) as much as other compounds will.
And this was perhaps the best thing I noticed:
The longer I’m on Primobolan, the better I look.
(which is fairly uncommon compared to other forms of gear)
You could even run it at 700 mgs. a week for as long as 20 weeks (just as you’d want to do with something like EQ), so longer cycles are not a problem, which I like.
Negative side effects &/or aspects:
None that I noticed. And no I’m not joking: I personally experienced literally NO SIDE EFFECTS WHATSOEVER AT ALL on Primobolan, and this was even with taking 700 mgs. a week.
You will still need PCT: studies show that Glycoprotein hormones are decreased by almost 65% (albeit this was observed with the small oral dose version of it).
The only thing I did not like, was having to shoot up more than once a week. Even when you’re switching back and forth between glutes, it still doesn’t take long for you to get pretty bruised up down there.
Just because there were no physical side effects, however, does not mean there aren’t some negative aspects to Primo.
Here are some negative aspects of Methenolone Enanthate:
–Primobolan is very often faked.
One quick related note on this:
There is a myth going around that real primo has been discontinued. I’m here to tell you right now: this is not true. It used to be a challenge to make sure you were getting legitimate, real authentic primo. Luckily, you can now test the authenticity of the oil by using Lab max test kits (these will tell you if the Primobolan (or any gear) is real or if its faked.
–Injections are slightly more painful because of the denseness (high molecular weight).
–Primobolan is very expensive compared to other compounds.
The drug itself again has a high molecular weight. This high molecular weight is the only reason why many guys think you have to dose this so often (you don’t). The ester is longer guys (it’s an Enanthate Ester).
Even though this isn’t necessary, I’ve found it usually IS better to dose it twice a week, however (to get the most bang out of it).
As far as its high molecular weight: You will rarely see Primo come in viles that are over 100 mgs.
That said, you’ll most likely need to buy 8-10 bottles of this stuff:
It runs about $80-$100 a vile (for a 10 C vile). So a cycle of primo might run you about $800 plus dollars or so. One thing I’ve known some guys to do (to make this cycle more cost-effective), is they’ll pyramid-up their cycle, meaning they’ll start small for the first few weeks, and they’ll gradually increase their weekly milligram dosage until they’re up to the 700-1,000 mg. a week a range.
Personally, I thought the cost of Primobolan to be WELL worth what I got in return from it, however. To be honest: I loved this stuff so much that it will probably be something I will go on and off of for the rest of my life.
That’s how good this stuff was.
CONCLUSION:
So there you go, guys. There was a lot to cover on this stuff. Feel free to come back and re-read this article again another time or two. Send it to anyone that you think would benefit from it, or find it helpful or interesting. For a guy that IS going to make the decision to go onto gear, Primobolan is the least risk-inducing gear you can take.
I cannot recommend enough that you read John Doe’s Bodybuilding’s book. Without his book/guide, I would’ve been so clueless about how to do these cycles, it’s not even funny. Injection techniques for example: were not something that I covered in this article. For the proper way to inject (and the right kind of needles/syringes to get), then I would refer to his book.
Here it is again: ”Straight From The Underground”.
Until we meet again,

Thanks again. I was wondering about the PCT. how was your mood? Energy? You must be able to handle this phase by now but I have not seen much of your experience on PCT. Thanks and keep it up
