Now that we have those out of the way, let’s begin:
Last spring I decided to take the plunge and give anabolic steroids a try.
There were several reasons why I decided to do this:
–As I’ve mentioned in previous articles, I’ve been lifting weights since I was 14 years old, so at the time I started this cycle, I had already had 17 years of experience in the gym. I was also 31 years old last spring. I’m mentioning these two points here for a reason: I think it’s extremely important that, if and when you decide for yourself if you want to take steroids, that you be old enough, and have had enough years of experience in the gym.
–I felt as though I had achieved my genetic potential.
–I have an experimental mind, enjoy experimenting with things that affect my performance. Particularly, with substances that have the ability to enhance me cognitively, or physically. With regard to cognitive or physical performance enhancement that is. I use the term performance enhancement in a general sense, meaning I don’t specifically mean steroids.
Performance enhancement I define as anything that has the potential to allow me to do something better, quicker, or more effectively than I’d be able to otherwise.
–I have a keen interest in my body as it relates to muscle mass, body fat, and just overall fitness.
–I trust myself and my ability to safely use anabolic steroids responsibly. I’d put months and months of research into the subject, it’s not something I just woke up one morning and decided to do.
The main book which drove my decision to do this was John Doe Bodybuilding’s book ”Straight From The Underground”. The link right there will take you right to the book.
My curiosity about the subject was obviously already there, which is why I bought the book. After reading it, however, I felt much more confident in my ability to embark on it safely and correctly. Without that book, I’m really not sure how long it would have taken to feel comfortable going on gear. Probably several months longer.
It took a couple of days to read the book, so any way you look at it, extensive research beforehand is essential. You really need to know what you’re doing before you decide to make this decision.
Let me get this out of the way first: It is not commonly advised, even by me, to stack 3 different compounds on your 1st cycle (like I did). On my 2nd cycle, I did Testosterone 400 only, which even by itself was enough.
The reason they advise this is because, when you stack all 3 on your 1st cycle, you may not be able to clearly tell what results are coming from which compound.
Like I mentioned, I’ve since done a 2nd cycle of Test 400 only, so that allowed me to know what side effects were only resulting from the Test and not from the Winstrol or Anavar.
In any event here is what I experienced from each one, and some thoughts I have for anyone interested in trying them. The brand I used for all 3 was Toraxx.
Test 400 is a long-chain, slow release testosterone. This one was a combo mixture of Test Cypionate and Test Enanthate. I recommend starting with either this same thing, or just Cypionate.
So my experience? Wow, where do I start here? My first dose of test was a 400 mg. dose, so was the 2nd, so was the 3rd. This was actually a mistake believe it or not. My inexperienced ass didn’t realize I was shooting up 400 mgs. of Test instead of 200 mgs, so make sure you know how much you’re drawing into your needle.
After the 3rd week, I dropped it down to 200-250 mgs. This is enough for me and gave me the desired effect I wanted for my first run at this.
In a nutshell, trying Test for the 1st time in way felt like being reborn again. It’s hard to translate it into words. It’s one of those compounds where, the first time you try it, you never forget what it felt like.
A couple of other things I’ve taken in my life that also had this effect were: Vyvanse, phenibut, alcohol, and weed. I’m not saying those are good substances to consume (phenibut can be), I’m simply saying that I’ll never ever forget the first time I experienced their effects, and Testosterone was no different.
Positive Side Effects:
1.) I felt much more POWERFUL. Just in a general sense. I felt more in control, more decisive, and more sure of my decisions. I didn’t 2nd guess myself at all really.
2.) The most confident I’ve ever felt, other than being under the influence of alcohol or phenibut. The confidence radiated off of me in a way that it never had before previously.
3.) Women were drawn to me. They noticed me much more acutely than before I went on the test. It’s like when you wear a nice suit worth over $1,000. Women do double-takes and check you out at least 3X as often as they would otherwise. On Test it’s the same thing, except you’re not wearing the suit.
They can actually smell it on you.
4.) Faster Metabolism. Much faster. This one is obvious if you know about testosterone already.
5.) Better work ethic. Although not extremely noticeable, I seemed to have more energy while on Test. More accurately: my sense of DRIVE was amplified. I wanted to go after what I wanted even more than I already do anyway.
6.) My skin seemed to look better. I had a certain glow, and probably looked just a bit more youthful.
7.) Another bonus was that it wasn’t too expensive for how much I got. This might vary for you depending on your source. I only paid $50 for a vile that last me about 12 weeks. That’s even with the large 400 mg. doses I took for the first 3 weeks.
Negative Side Effects:
1.) It made me extremely hungry. All I thought about was food and sex. I felt like a caveman. The hunger was a big negative for me, because I already get hungry a lot, and this side effect definitely did not help in that regard.
2.) Facial water-retention. I had what they call ”gear-face”. You might notice this slightly in the photos above. This only happened on the my 1st cycle though, or at least it was only noticeable on my 1st one.
If this happens to you I would recommend taking Dandelion Root. This is a supplement you can buy at Vitamin Shoppe. It’s a diuretic so it helps mitigate this facial water retention.
3.) Intense, out-of-nowhere aggression when drinking. I didn’t really notice any aggression while I was sober, but there were a few Saturday nights where I had a few drinks, and then some trivial annoyances sent off the handle.
Nothing too crazy, but I have a bit of a temper anyway, so these little bouts were a little scary. Scary in the sense that I momentarily lost control, the anger sort took control.
The keys to avoiding this are:
– Don’t drink while on Test, or at least don’t drink as much. This is more so when you’re doing ”Cycles”, where you go on and then go off of test. If the Test becomes a permanent thing for you (TRT), then your body probably learns to adapt to the combination. Drinking isn’t a good habit to have anyway.
–Be aware of it. By that I mean, just be conscientious of the fact that if you have more than a couple of drinks while on Test, there’s a much higher likelihood that you’ll experience roid rage. Being aware of this beforehand will allow you (hopefully) to catch yourself while in these moments and help to calm you down.
This how it was for me, it only took about 30 seconds to calm down and come back to reality once I noticed what was happening.
Now let’s discuss the Anavar cycle component of this whole experience. The only thing I honestly really noticed about Anavar was the intense vascularity I got from it. I’m already pretty vascular, but the Anavar really amplified it. I looked like I could rip someone’s goddamn head off (and thanks to the Test I felt like I could have).
My daily dose of this was moderate: about 30 mgs. a day. Being that this was my first time, and I already felt like I was overdoing it slightly by stacking 3 compounds, 30 mgs. was what I felt comfortable with.
–Anavar is a cutting agent. Although still not a fat burner, if cutting is what you’re looking to do, then Anavar works well in this regard.
–No estrogen conversion, which is nice.
–Mild substance, in my opinion, it’s a good choice for your 2nd cycle, but not all by itself. Let me be clear here: Anavar shouldn’t be taken all itself, it should be taken in combination with at least one other compound, like Test for example. I didn’t take Anavar itself obviously but based on my research and what I’ve read, credible sources have told me this is advised.
Although the side effects are minimal, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
–Has the potential to do damage to your liver and triglycerides. Will likely do mild damage to your cholesterol and lipid profile.
–Often fake and/or expensive. Make sure you’re getting this stuff from a credible source. I used the Toraxx brand, but the actual source I got it from was credible as well, so make sure the same can said for you. For me, the Anavar and Winstrol together was about $250 for 50 mg. pills (both of them were 50 mgs.). I cut these in half to get my 25-30 mg. dose. This was for 50 Anavar tablets, and 50 Winstrol tablets.
Obviously, they’re not cheap, so just be aware of that right now.
My daily dose of Winny was about 30mgs. per day as well (6 days a week), so the same as the Anavar. The negative side effects from Test were much more noticeable than what I got from either Winstrol or Anavar.
Winstrol mainly helps add muscle mass and vascularity. Any side effects that you’ll feel from these 2 compounds you’ll probably feel more so from Winstrol than you will from Anavar.
–As mentioned, intense vascularity, see here:
–Winstrol is a also cutting agent. Although also not a fat burner, if cutting is what you’re looking to do, then Winstrol works great in this regard.
–No water retention, in fact, Winstrol will dry you out.
–Winstrol is not a derivative of Test, so there’s no estrogen conversion once you get off of it. That said, no Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) is needed.
–Higher energy levels, and greater sense of well-being. You’ll feel a lot better day to day while on it. There may even be an extra pep in your step.
– Winstrol, especially when taken orally, can be toxic to your liver. It is not advised at all to drink while taking Winny, especially if you take the oral version.
– It could increase your blood pressure and cholesterol. If you already have high blood pressure or any cholesterol problems, then I would steer clear of Winstrol.
I personally didn’t notice any change in my blood pressure or cholesterol, so it’s not guaranteed to affect you in these areas, but it could. To be honest: its negative side effects are minimal when compared to what you get in return from the positive ones. To me, the positives outweigh the negatives.
That’s assuming you’re going to take these responsibily like I did. Meaning you’re going to do your research and not drink while on either of these. Taking these responsibly means not overdoing the dosage by taking a very high milligram dose each day. There’s a right way and wrong way to do everything, you can’t just make up your own rules, sorry pal but that’s not how things work.
I’m not saying you can’t take more than 30 mgs. a day, but for God’s sake don’t be an idiot, use common sense and know what’s too much and what isn’t.
Speaking of that:
DO NOT run Winstrol for longer than 6 weeks.
If you do you’ll start to feel lethargic due to its effect on your liver. 5-6 weeks is good for a Winstrol cycle.
If you’re looking for two steroids that have the least number of side effects, Anavar and winstrol are probably it.
One thing I haven’t mentioned yet: I did not start the Anavar Winstrol cycle until 3 weeks after I started the Test. It may have even been closer to 4 weeks. The idea behind that was to try to get down to 10% body-fat on just the Test, and then use the Winstrol and Anavar to get down to and maintain 8% body-fat.
This didn’t exactly happen, I think I got down to 10%, but that was my intention. I would recommend this as opposed to jumping on all 3 at the exact same time (running the Test for the first 3 weeks, then adding in the Winstrol and Anavar at week 3-4).
That’s of course if I cannot convince you to only stick with Test for your 1st cycle, which again I advise.
Doing the 3 of these would be perfect for a 2nd cycle (instead of the 1st one).
So there you go. There’s so much to cover on these. I probably left some details out, but tried to remember as much as I could. There will be more articles on the subject in the future, as I’ll experiment with other compounds.
Just remember the advice I gave you throughout this article, I wrote it all for a reason: so you would follow it. It would be worth going back and reading this again another time or two.
Also, I cannot recommend enough that you read John Doe’s book. Without this book, I would have been so clueless it’s not even funny. For example, injection techniques are not something I covered in this article, for the proper way to inject, and the right kind of needles/syringes, I would refer to his book.
Here it is again: ”Straight From The Underground”.
Until we meet again,
